RRC Questions & Answers

How does the RRC work?
The RRC administers the return of all former Monsanto employees.  Interested individuals need to apply to the RRC.  The application information will be maintained in a confidential RRC database.  This database will be used to help match participants with assignments as they become available.

Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the RRC program you must be a former Monsanto employee and must not have been terminated for poor performance. Former employees of Pfizer and Solutia have no waiting period.

How much can I work?
RRC employees are not limited to the number of hours they can work unless they are receiving monthly payments from the Monsanto Pension or SIP.  Individuals who receive monthly payments from either of these plans will have their payments suspended if they work more than 999 hours in a calendar year.

How will I be paid?
You will be paid as an hourly employee for hours worked during the bi-weekly pay period.  The amount paid will be based on the hours actually worked during the time period.  Your rate of pay will be based on your skills, experience, training and the requirements of the work to be performed.

How much can I earn?
Monsanto will not impose a dollar limit on your earnings through the RRC. However, you should be aware of the effect your total earnings (from Monsanto and elsewhere) have on any Social Security benefits you receive.

What type of work will I do?
Your qualifications may be broad enough to allow you to work in areas different from your job before you separated or retired from Monsanto – or you may be offered similar duties.

How and when can I apply?
You can apply at any time.  However, if you received a distribution from either SIP or Pension, a six-month waiting period is required before you can return to work at Monsanto.  If you have not taken a distribution from either plan, you are generally eligible to be rehired at any time.

How do I apply?
To apply, fill out an RRC Application and forward it with your resume to RRC@monsanto.com.

Can I see RRC job postings?
Sure.  They’re available at www.monsanto.com under careers> US job opportunities> resource re-entry center> current opportunities.  This site is updated weekly with current openings.
