Video: Monsanto's Planting Update from the Field - Illinois

May 29, 2009

Farmers in Illinois are behind--there’s no way to sugarcoat it. But last week, farmers welcomed sunshine and wind to dry out the ground and get back in the field to play catch-up. (Speaking of wind, we apologize if it’s hard to hear pieces of the video due to the excessive amounts of it.)

Join Monsanto’s Tyne Morgan as she talks to Illinois farmers about their personal experience not only in planting this year, but also last year. Because of the outcome of last year’s growing season, farmers still are hopeful they’ll have another great year and see exceptional yields. As you’ll hear, some credit the cutting-edge seed technology for why they’re able to see high yields, despite unfavorable weather conditions.
