Video: Monsanto's Planting Update from the Field - Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin

May 21, 2009

If you've been following the Monsanto Planting Updates from the Field, you've heard week after week about farmers being behind in planting due to too much rainfall. Well, Monsanto's Tyne Morgan is turning that frown upside down this week when she travels to Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.

Iowa farmers are sitting pretty when it comes to planting, as they're right on track with most of the corn crop in the ground and currently planting soybeans. The Illinois and Wisconsin farmers are pleased with their planting progress, as well, but that's not the case statewide for Illinois, as the majority of farmers in the state are extremely behind in getting their crop in the ground.

More than just planting progress, this week’s update takes a deeper dive into what farmers are doing from day one of planting to increase their yields.

While in the field, Monsanto is not only capturing harvest through videos, but also through photographs.
