Genuity™ was launched in February 2009 to serve as a master trait brand for the latest Monsanto crop traits. As an agricultural company, Monsanto has been recognized as a leader in trait technology and has introduced more traits than all other agricultural companies combined. New traits such as drought tolerance, nitrogen efficiency, and yield enhancement are being developed in the Monsanto pipeline and the company saw the need to unite our latest and future traits under one trait master brand.
Genuity™ was developed on an icon identity system in an effort to help farmer identify the traits they desire. These icons represent weeds, insects, weather, and productivity to illustrate what the traits do.

Traits incorporated in the Genuity™ brand include VT Triple Pro™, SmartStax™, Roundup Ready 2 Yield®, and Bollgard II®, among others. These traits will be available under the Genuity™ brand in the core crops of corn, soy, and cotton as well as in other specialty crops like canola, alfalfa, and sugarbeets.
